Abstract:
A re-keyed copy of the Executive Order from the President, dated July 16, 1996, on Federal Information Technology stating that it shall be the policy of the United States Government that executive agencies shall significantly improve the management of their information systems, including the acquisition of information technology, effectively use information technology to improve mission performance and service to the public, and establish the Chief Information Officers Council.
